Bilbao - Aste Nagusia Festival 2009

Over 100,000 people join in the Bilbao Semana Grande (Big Week or Aste Nagusia) celebrations, which include the famous Strongman games and firework displays hosted by a different nation each evening. Concerts and street theatre are all over the city, with,it seems, everyone on the streets celebrating. The concerts start at midnight, so you can almost go 24 hours non-stop enjoyment. Food, Chess and traditional contests are held, and provide free entertainment all day.
